Safety You Can Feel – Touch‑Proof  Terminations Kit

Touch‑Proof Termination Kits offer a robust, safety-first solution for medium-voltage cable connections (typically up to 36 kV/630 A, and with certain variants up to 1250 A). These factory‑manufactured, premolded EPDM or silicone rubber terminations are fully screened to earth, ensuring they remain safe to touch even when live. Installation is straightforward—no heat tools are needed—thanks to slip‑on or bolt‑on designs with built‑in stress cones. They feature capacitive test points for voltage and sheath testing without energizing the cable and meet stringent standards such as IS 13573, IEC 60502, EN 50180/81, and HD 629.1. These kits are ideal for use in RMUs, switchgear, and transformers, providing IP67-rated, fully submersible, maintenance-free connections that combine safety, reliability, and ease for technicians and engineers alike.

  • These are fully screened, separable MV cable terminators that are safe to touch even when energized.

  • Made from peroxidic-cured EPDM or silicone rubber with an earth-connected outer conductive screen to prevent accidental shocks.

  • Commonly rated up to 36 kV, 630 A (some models up to 1250 A), and compliant with standards like EN 50180/50181, IEC 60502, IS 13573, and HD 629.1.

  • They include factory-tested stress relief (partial discharge & AC withstand) and allow cable sheath testing without removal.

  • Touch‑proof terminations are a subset of premolded separable connectors, specifically designed with a conductive screen to ensure safety under load-break or dead-break conditions. Elbow connectors refer to premolded plug-type terminations shaped like an "elbow" to fit bushings—commonly touch-proof screened.

  • All are designed for safe, quick, maintenance-friendly connection of MV cables to equipment without complex installation tools or procedures.
